Dreaming of Fame

When I first auditioned to work at Cheerleaders Gentlemen’s club in Philadelphia, I truly didn’t think they would hire me. I never set foot in a strip club before the day I auditioned. During my first shift, I was so enamored by the thrill of being on stage and being the center of attention. I’ve never been on a stage with such an audience and I felt so beautiful looking into the mirror at myself.
When I would walk around I could feel everyone’s eyes on me wondering who the new girl was. Everyone I met on my first shift really made me feel safe in an environment I never had been in before. Being able to sit at the bar and watch all the lovely ladies do their stage sets was and is so magical. I had never really experienced this before and felt so amazed by the power these women exuded.
The ways stripping has made me understand myself, my power, and boundaries is something that I will be forever grateful for. It really is so beautiful having people think I am some sort of god when growing up I never felt beautiful.
