Tony Ward first began photographing same sex couples in 1995 for the legendary Penthouse magazine. He preferred to cast real couples for his sittings, but also employed sex workers who were either gay or bisexual for this extensive body of work. Some of his early same sex pictures were also included in Obsessions, his first book of erotic photography. Published by Editions Stemmle, Zurich, Switzerland 1998.
